USAEDC Forum Speaking in Baltimore, Wednesday November 18, 4:00 PM. Superpowers for Cooperators. Session details

For USAEDC members

Your export program, minus the reporting grind.

Duess Strategies builds AI for the organizations that run U.S. agricultural export promotion: FAS cooperators, commodity groups, and state regional trade groups.

The tools take the reporting and data load off your team, so your people spend their hours on understanding and building markets, not shuffling paperwork.

The burden

The reporting only moves one way: up

Every UES cycle asks for more documentation. MAP and FMD activities have to be measured and defended. RAPP added a second layer of grant administration on top of the first. FAS wants tighter results, cleaner data and faster turnarounds, and no one is offering to fund another headcount to produce them.

For a small export-development team that means weeks a year swallowed by compliance and admin. Reports assembled by hand, numbers chased across spreadsheets, the same market picture rebuilt from scratch every quarter.

One workflow

The quarterly results summary, drafted and checked

45 seconds, no sound. Every figure traced to its source, conflicts flagged for a person to settle. Illustrative data.

What I build

Four systems, built for cooperators

Built alongside your people, on your data. You own it when the engagement ends.

01

MAP, FMD and RAPP reporting that assembles itself

The numbers and activities you already track get pulled into UES, MAP and RAPP formats automatically, instead of being rebuilt by hand every cycle. Your team reviews and approves. Nobody retypes a spreadsheet at 9pm.

02

Instant answers from your own export-program data

Ask a question in plain language and get the answer out of your own files. No more hunting across shared drives, spreadsheets and three years of inbox to find the number a board member asked for.

03

Market intelligence for your priority markets

Hundreds of sources monitored across languages, with the relevant few surfaced daily. The morning news triage stops being somebody’s job.

04

A searchable archive of your missions and market reports

Years of market reports and trade-mission debriefs turned into one place you can actually search. Institutional memory that survives staff turnover.

Where do you stand?

The AI readiness check for results reporting

Question 1 of 10 · Where your data lives A board member asks how many trade leads came out of last year’s missions. How long does the answer take?

Where to start

Two weeks, one workflow, a fixed price

Before any retainer, a Reporting and Data Audit. I map where your team's UES, MAP and RAPP hours actually go, find the data nobody can reach, and set up one workflow running on your own data.

You keep the workflow and a written plan with costs for the next steps. US$5,000 to $7,500 depending on team size, fixed before we start.

What it does for your team

It gives your people superpowers.

None of this replaces your team. On a staff of six, that distinction is the whole argument, not a reassurance.

It takes the busywork off the people you already have, so the same team does better work, and more of the work only a human can do.

Same team, better output.

Why me

A member first, a vendor second.

I'm a fellow USAEDC member. Twenty-five years in technology, starting with Google, Cisco and others in London. Fifteen years in food and agriculture, building one of North America's most successful marketing agencies in the sector.

I know what a UES cycle costs you, and I can build the solution that takes it off your desk.

Common questions

The ones members actually ask

Can AI actually help with MAP and RAPP reporting?
Yes. Most of that work is assembling data you already hold into the format FAS asks for. Repetitive, rules-based, well defined. That is the work this technology is genuinely good at. Your team reviews and approves before anything is filed.
We're a small cooperator staff. Is this too much for us?
No. The system is sized to the team you have, not the team a vendor wishes you had. I build it alongside your people, and you own it when the engagement ends.
Do you work with state regional trade groups as well as cooperators?
Yes. Cooperators, commodity groups, and SRTGs all carry the same reporting and data burden, at different scales.
What does it cost to start?
The Reporting and Data Audit is US$5,000 to $7,500, fixed before we start, and takes two weeks. Ongoing work runs as a retainer from $10,000 a month.
Does this replace our people?
No. It removes the busywork that hides what they are actually good at. Same team, better output.

Let's talk

It starts with a conversation.

Twenty minutes, no deck, no pitch. Tell me where the reporting and data load hurts most, and I'll tell you straight whether AI can take it off your plate.
